Radiation Therapy Job Opportunity
Location: Yakima, Washington
Position Overview
- Specialty: Radiation Therapy
- Patient Types: Adults and Pediatrics (training provided)
- Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
- Patient Ratios: 2 therapists to 1 patient
- Experience: Accepting travelers with 1 year of experience and first-time travelers
Licensure & Certifications Required
- Washington State License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Skills & Experience
- Required: Varian & TrueBeam, SBRT, DIBH, IMRT, IGRT
- Ability to monitor patients and accurately interpret treatment plans
- Preferred: HDR and Hyperarc experience
Technology & Equipment
- EMR Systems: EPIC / Aria
- Machines: 2 LINACs (Clinacix & Truebeam)
Support on Unit
- Receptionist/HUC available
- Resource Nurse and RT support present
- No floating required
Schedule
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No holidays required
- Weekend rotation and on-call: Not specified
Dress Code
- Scrubs: Any color or business casual with lab coat
Contract Length
- Approximately 17 weeks
Additional Requirements & Documentation
- Flu documentation for 2025-26 season
- Annual core competencies
- CPR Certification: BLS
- Criminal background check and drug screen
- Various immunizations and titers (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, TDAP)
- HIPAA and confidentiality agreements
- Employment authorization and other standard healthcare compliance documents
