Description

Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Webster Springs, West Virginia
Facility: Webster County Memorial Hospital
Hospital System: Davis Health System - Qualivis
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10 hour night shifts (8 PM - 6 AM), including weekdays, holidays, and every other weekend
Start: Orientation every Monday


Job Details

  • Unit: Medical-Surgical
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
  • Required Experience: Minimum 2 years as an RN; travel experience preferred
  • Required Skills: Competency with drips and medication administration
  • Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS (American Red Cross, AHA, or DoD accepted)
  • Flu Vaccine: Medical exemptions considered with signed physician note and completed exemption form; religious exemptions not accepted

Required Credentials & Documentation

  • Valid West Virginia RN license (online verification accepted; wallet card not required)
  • NURSYS verification for all RNs
  • I9 or attestation
  • Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during work hours)
  • E-Verify or attestation
  • ACLS and BLS certifications (as required)
  • Other certifications as applicable: PALS, NRP, TNCC, Tech Cert Verification (for non-RN allied professionals)
  • HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • Competency exams including medication/pharmacology competency
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Chest X-Ray) within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations or titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Drug screening: 11 or 12 panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including creatinine levels)
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical exemption required during flu season (Nov 1 - April 30)
  • Background check: 7-year criminal history, SS trace, sex offender registry, and facility-level checks updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated with contract renewals
  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluation
  • Employment application and skills checklist (annual)
  • Fingerprinting through WV CARES system (required for certain units and facilities; must be completed in WV)
  • WV Nurse Aid Registry check (state-mandated for certain care settings)

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Candidates must sign Patient Rights and Responsibilities Acknowledgment
  • Confidentiality and Security Agreement must be reviewed and signed
  • Facility offers egg-free flu vaccines for those with allergies
  • Documentation must be on file prior to start or as specified
