Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery (Travel)

Location: Davenport, Iowa
Facility: Genesis Medical Center
Hospital System: Trinity Health
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Every 3rd weekend, End of Hour (EOH)


Position Overview

Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery for a travel assignment at Genesis Medical Center. This role requires clinical expertise in labor and delivery nursing within a reputable hospital system.


Required Certifications & Credentials

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): American Heart Association certification required for all direct patient care personnel.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required for RNs in critical care areas.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for RNs in Birth Center.
  • AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification: Required for labor and delivery specialty.
  • License/Certificate Verification: Must provide current state nursing license verification dated within 30 days of start.
  • Trinity Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training: Mandatory for Iowa contractors.
  • Trinity Skills Checklist: Agency will provide for clinical contractors.
  • Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing: Specialty exam must be completed within the past year.
  • Fit Test: Required personal health screening.

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal Background Check: Federal, state, and county checks covering the last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
  • Iowa Sing Report: Criminal History, Sex Offender, Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Registries check required within 30 days prior to start.
  • Drug Screen: 9 Panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
  • Trinity Code of Conduct Form: Must be signed and on file.
  • Trinity Confidentiality & Security Agreement: Must be signed and on file.
  • Trinity Integrity and Audit Services Form: Signed within days prior to start.
  • Trinity Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form: Must be signed and on file.
  • Trinity I9: Completed by the agency.
  • Trinity System Access Form: Must be completed and uploaded one week before start.

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of vaccine, booster, declination, or exemption required (declination not accepted for CA or IL).
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Proof of vaccination or immunity required.
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccination series required (titers not accepted).
  • Influenza Vaccine: Recommended for the flu season (optional).
  • Varicella: Proof of vaccination or immunity required.
  • 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Required tuberculosis screening.
  • Physical/Health Statement: Documentation from an exam within the last year confirming fitness to work.
  • Trinity Specific COVID Questionnaire: Must be completed.
  • Trinity Color Vision Test: Required personal health screening.

Additional Requirements

  • Resume, Skills Checklist, and Professional References: Required for submission.
  • Education Verification: Highest level of academic education must be verified.
  • Third Party Screening Reports: Including EPLS, OIG/GSA Exclusion, NSO (National Sex Offender) checks, all dated within 30 days of start.
  • Trinity Joint Commission Testing: CORE exam within the past year.
  • Trinity Non Employee Upload Form: Must be completed and uploaded.
  • Genesis PowerPoint: Complete signature page required for all Genesis locations in Iowa.

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs who meet the credentialing and compliance requirements and are interested in a travel assignment in Iowa with a well-established healthcare system.
