Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with on-call (shift details may change during interview)
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- First-time travelers: Not accepted
- On-Call: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Locals: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule)
- Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at submission
- Driver’s license required

Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or ARC only; required for Cath Lab and other critical care areas
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC only; required for all candidates except some allied health roles
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs except those at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital; expires every 2 years
- State License: Tennessee license or multistate license required; must be current and verifiable
Required Competencies & Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Must be taken within 1 year of start and updated annually
- Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III): Required annually for Case Managers (may be relevant depending on role)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
- Fit Mask Test: 3M N-95 mask fit test within 1 year, must pass without limitations
- Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray: Within 1 year, updated annually
- Immunizations:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer; boosters required if titers low
- Hepatitis B: Proof of 3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Varicella: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer; boosters required if titers low
- Tdap: Required only for candidates working at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital
- Flu Vaccine (2024-2025 season): Required prior to start; no declinations accepted except approved religious or medical exemptions with documentation and possible mask requirement during flu season
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Preferred but not required
Background & Compliance Checks
- Background Check: Within 60 days of start, including statewide, county, federal, and education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG Checks: Required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
- References: Two recent professional references required
- Education Verification: Required; diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu
- Sex Offender Search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry Search (for TN facilities): Required
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for Badge: Must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
- Dress Code:
- Navy blue scrubs for RNs
- No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
- Business casual with white lab coat for RN Case Managers
- Confidentiality Acknowledgment: Must be signed prior to start
- Onsite Fit Test: Must be completed and brought on first day if applicable
- Job Description Form: Must be signed within one year of start

- Locals within 100 miles are not accepted for this travel position
