Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology

Location: Alpena, Michigan

Job Description

• Provide nursing care before, during, and after angiography, interventional, and angiographic cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation, post-cath care, and patient education.
• Assist in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures; scrubbing in with physicians is preferred but not required.
• Operate specialized equipment such as cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic devices, pacemakers/ICDs, and intraaortic balloon pumps.
• Transfer patients, stock supplies, and perform basic office tasks.
• Support nursing care for Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures and pre/post procedure care as needed.

Requirements

Experience

• Cath Lab experience: Required
• Interventional Radiology experience: Highly preferred
• 1+ years Electrophysiology experience: Highly preferred
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills: Highly preferred
• Knowledge and operation of intraaortic balloon pump: Highly preferred

Certifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

Licensure

• Active Michigan RN license required

Additional Requirements

• Work history and skills checklist current within 1 year, relevant to specialty
• Two supervisory reference forms from the last two years
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not considered)

Contract Length
