Job Opportunity: Medical Oncology-Infusion Nurse

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
Facility: Monument Health Cancer Care Institute
Hospital System: Monument Health

Position Overview

Outpatient clinic setting specializing in Medical Oncology/Chemotherapy Infusion
Minimum nursing experience required: 1.5 years
First-time travelers accepted
Travelers must live more than 100 miles from the facility
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler

Required Qualifications

Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by South Dakota Board of Nursing
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Chemotherapy certification for infusion clinic
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) preferred but not required
Education: Completion of an approved nursing education program

Skills and Responsibilities

Chemotherapy infusion administration
Chart checks and medication reconciliation
Rooming patients including vital signs, weight, and review of systems

Unit Support and Team

Certified Assistant (CA) support available
Charge nurse present
Resource nurse available
Physician and ARNP onsite in clinic
No phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, or respiratory therapist support

Technology and Equipment

Electronic Health Record: Epic
Medication Dispensing System: Omnicell

Work Schedule and Orientation

Orientation provided in department at CCI-Rapid City
No weekend rotation
No on-call duties
No holiday work required
Time off approval available
