Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Start Date: 3-4 weeks per compliance tier, biweekly start dates
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Staffing Ratios:

  • Follow AWHONN guidelines based on labor stage and induction method
  • Postpartum ratio: 1 nurse to 3-4 couplets
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Yes, float between Belleville and Shiloh within scope
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
• Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
• Pending License: Not accepted
• Guaranteed Hours:

  • 36 hours/week for 3 shifts of 12 hours
  • 48 hours/week for 4 shifts of 12 hours
• Special Requirements: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) experience

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• AWHONN Intermediate
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - must be current and updated every 2 years
• Additional certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., TNCC, MAB/CPI if applicable)

Licensure & Verification

• Illinois RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Primary source verification of professional license required
• NURSYS verification required
• Fingerprinting required for assignments at or floating to long-term care or rehab units in Illinois
• Background check within 6 months required (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, sex offender, and international if applicable)
• Employment application and education verification required
• Two professional references required (supervisors within last year preferred)

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or documented immunity for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • TB screening (2 negative PPDs or equivalent)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include specific panels and be current throughout assignment
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required for 2024-2025 season
• HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Regulatory compliance education completed annually through WorkRamp with a passing score

• Candidates must have an Aya Healthcare badge and facility photo badge
• No parking fees at the facility
• Floating between Belleville and Shiloh locations may be required
• No block scheduling accommodations
• Locals within 75 miles are not accepted for this travel position
