Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position

Location: Towson, Maryland
Facility: Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy services under general supervision.
• Evaluate patient needs, determine goals, and develop treatment plans in accordance with the Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act.
• Assist with overall operation of the Physical Therapy Department.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent PT experience — REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years of Orthopedic (Ortho) experience — REQUIRED
• Active PT license in Maryland (Compact license allowed)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted) — vaccination status must be included in submission notes
• Submission must include:

  • Resume with Ortho experience clearly listed under each facility
  • Two supervisory references (one within last 6 months, one within last 12 months)
  • Skills checklist
  • Certifications active at time of submission

• Located on a suburban campus with multiple medical office buildings
• Offers primary care practices throughout the community with extended and weekend hours
• Gilchrist Hospice and Palliative Care provides comprehensive support services including inpatient hospice centers and bereavement counseling

Additional Details

• 24 hours unbillable
• Overtime pay at 1.5x for OT, call back, and holidays
• Overtime starts after 48 hours worked
• Time off requests allowed up to the equivalent of 1 week of contracted hours (e.g., 36 or 40 hours depending on contract)
• Orientation sessions scheduled up to 6 weeks in advance
