Special Procedures Tech - Travel Position

Location: Savannah, Georgia
Unit: Angiography / Interventional Radiology (IR) Labs

Unit Overview

• Setting: Angiography/IR Unit within Heart and Vascular Tower
• Beds: 3 Angiography Labs (2 Dedicated IR Labs, 1 Hybrid OR)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Staffing: Teams of 3-4 (2 Techs, 2 RNs), including Lead Tech, RN, ARRT/RTR, RCIS
• Equipment: IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, Jet Stream
• Documentation System: EPIC Cupid
• Shift Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts with on-call requirements
• Floating Policy: Not applicable
• Patient Experience: ICU/ER experience required

Required Skills & Experience

• Critical care drip (gtt) management
• Angiography / Interventional Radiology experience, including stroke and trauma care
• Must have critical care and Angio (IR) experience

Procedures Performed

• Permcath placement
• Port placement
• Thrombectomy
• Atherectomy
• Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TVAR)
• Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS)
• Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
• Pulmonary Embolism (PE) interventions
• Stroke and trauma-related procedures

Certifications Required

• ARRT Certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Dress Code

• Royal blue and black for RNs
• Navy blue and black for Techs

Contract Length
