Special Procedures Tech - Travel Position
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Unit: Angiography / Interventional Radiology (IR) Labs
Unit Overview
- Setting: Angiography/IR Unit within Heart and Vascular Tower
- Beds: 3 Angiography Labs (2 Dedicated IR Labs, 1 Hybrid OR)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Staffing: Teams of 3-4 (2 Techs, 2 RNs), including Lead Tech, RN, ARRT/RTR, RCIS
- Equipment: IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, Jet Stream
- Documentation System: EPIC Cupid
- Shift Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts with on-call requirements
- Floating Policy: Not applicable
- Patient Experience: ICU/ER experience required
Required Skills & Experience
- Critical care drip (gtt) management
- Angiography / Interventional Radiology experience, including stroke and trauma care
- Must have critical care and Angio (IR) experience
Procedures Performed
- Permcath placement
- Port placement
- Thrombectomy
- Atherectomy
- Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TVAR)
- Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS)
- Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
- Pulmonary Embolism (PE) interventions
- Stroke and trauma-related procedures
Certifications Required
- ARRT Certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Dress Code
- Royal blue and black for RNs
- Navy blue and black for Techs
