Description

Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) - Santa Maria, California

Facility: Dignity Health Home Health & Hospice
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty: Home Health OT

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Home Health OT
Active California OT license
Current BLS certification
Experience with OASIS documentation (government-mandated form)
Preferred: Experience in home health setting
Must be able to cover a specific geographical region

Work Details

Unit includes PT, OT, Speech (Marian & Arroyo Grande home-based care)
EMR system: Cerner
Rehab aides/OTA/PTA support available (usually permanent staff)
Weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend
Holiday coverage: minor holidays required; major holidays only if needed
Shifts: Flexible, majority Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (8-hour days)
Orientation: 1.5 to 2 weeks floor-specific orientation

Patient Population

Common diagnoses include orthopedic cases, strokes, joint and spinal injuries
Speech therapy patients vary widely

Dress Code

Business attire with white lab coat
No jeans allowed
