Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Facility: Sutter Health Cancer Support Services
Hospital System: Sutter Health - MSP
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform routine and specialized breast imaging procedures independently to produce quality diagnostic images.
- Use clinical skills and sound judgment to ensure safe, precise, and timely procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gain cooperation and confidence.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- May perform specific procedures and orient new staff to the department.
Requirements
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- RHM (Registered Radiologic Technologist in Mammography)
- CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Certifications & Competencies (May be required)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- CCRN (Critical Care RN)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- IV Certification (as applicable)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam
- Facility-specific competency exams as required
Licensure & Verification
- State License verification (primary source) required within 30 days of start.
- NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, or AP within 30 days of start.
- National Tech Certification verification within 30 days of start.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear for work).
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply).
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual renewal required)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Sept-April), or signed declination with mask requirement.
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law).
- Respiratory safety clearance (annual renewal, not required for some roles).
- Color blindness exam (in-person, if applicable).
Background & History Checks
- 7-year background check within 6 months of start, including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender search, education verification, and employment verification.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, FACIS Level 3 screening as required.
- References: 2 professional references for clinical/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care (Aya requirement only).
- Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps.
