Job Opportunity: MedSurg/Tele Observation RN (MS3)

Location: Show Low, Arizona
Facility: Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Position for MedSurg/Tele travel nurses at a regional hospital in the White Mountains of Arizona
• Work schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with no cancellations
• Nurse to patient ratios:

  • 1:5 during the day
  • 1:6 at night
  • 1:4 for pediatric patients (based on acuity)
• Float to all MedSurg units and ICU (handling MedSurg overflow patients)
• Support staff available on unit including Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
• Nurse managers conduct rounds but do not provide direct patient care
• Scrub color is flexible; scrubs are not provided
• Night shifts are 12 hours

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in MedSurg acute care setting
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
• PALS preferred
• NIHSS certification

Additional Information

• The hospital has a 10-bed MedSurg unit with Telemetry capability on all beds
• Location offers access to outdoor activities and is within a few hours of Flagstaff and Phoenix
