Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (L&D)
Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Facility: Archbold Memorial, Archbold Medical Center
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (possible extension)
Shift: Nights, some weekends and holidays
Job Description
- Labor & Delivery RN position with approximately 650-700 deliveries per year
- Unit includes 2 triage beds, 5 labor beds, C-section OR, and recovery room
- Start date: 2 weeks from offer
- Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) allowed (must be included on submission)
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 1 year recent L&D experience required (2+ years preferred)
- Previous travel nursing experience REQUIRED
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Intermediate
- Skills:
- Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate)
- Circulate in OR
- IV Start
- Medical Screening Exam
- Must wear Royal Blue scrubs (not provided)
- EMR system used: Cerner
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Color copy of valid Driver’s License or State ID (photo ID must be carried during hours of service)
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
- Background Check: 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, counties, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, nationwide check, and education verification
- Employment Application/Resume
- Two recent supervisor/manager references (verified within 12 months)
- Hospital Evaluation and Internal Evaluation (if applicable)
- Education Verification (3rd party required; diploma or transcript accepted if EDV not verifiable)
- Physical Exam within 1 year and updated annually
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start; no PPDs accepted) or chest X-ray if past positive
- TB Questionnaire within 30 days of start
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for L&D and Mother & Baby)
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required, but proof of vaccine series, exemption, or declination must be collected
- Fit Mask Test (completed onsite at no cost)
Facility Specific Requirements
- Completion of assigned HealthStream training modules prior to start date
- Submission of a professional photo for badge within 24 hours of signing contract (passport-style, shoulders up, no selfies)
- Compliance with Archbold Medical Center dress code
- Completion of IS115 and IS119 forms (time sensitive, wet ink or DocuSign signatures required)
- Flu Exemption and Flu Vaccine Confirmation forms if applicable
- Business Associate Agreement form if requested
Additional Notes
- Fingerprinting required only for CNAs (not for RN role)
- Must be able to work nights, some weekends, and holidays
- Must adhere to all facility policies and annual competency exams (medication test, core parts I-III)
