Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Job Details

• Unit: Invasive Cardiology

  • 4 Cardiac Catheterization Labs and 2 Electrophysiology Labs
  • 23 prep/recovery bays
  • Over 6,000 procedures annually
  • Procedures include complex coronary interventions, VAD/ECMO, TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping, complex ablations, pacemaker/ICD implant/explant, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, peripheral interventions, and pulmonary embolectomy
• Shift: Day shift, flexible between 8-hour or 10-hour shifts from 6 AM to 7 PM
• Schedule: Weekends and holidays as needed
• Call: May be required
• Floating: As needed
• COVID-19: May care for COVID patients
• Facility: Tobacco and fragrance-free environment

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA or ARC Provider or Instructor with Provider card)
  • BLS (AHA or ARC Provider or Instructor with Provider card)
• Skills: EPIC experience required
• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
• Interview: Clinical screening followed by manager interview

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background & Verification

• 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (Childline) within 5 years, results must be on file within 45 days of assignment start
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services FBI Fingerprinting within 1 year, renewed every 5 years; results must be on file within 45 days of assignment start
• Education verification (highest degree/diploma/transcripts)
• 2 professional references within 3 years
• Most recent resume/application
• Hospital evaluation completed onsite during assignment
• Skills checklist annually

Health & Immunizations

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD/DO/NP/PA
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
• Seasonal Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccine or medical/religious exemption/declination accepted
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
• Respiratory Safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
