Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN)
Location: Portland, Oregon

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Experience Level: 1 year experience / first-time travelers welcome
- Unit: Cath Lab RN
- Floating: Yes, may float between units based on needs and skill set
- On-Call: Yes, 1 weeknight (6 PM - 7:30 AM) and 1 weekend per month
- Weekends: Not required except on-call weekend
- Block Schedules: Not required
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Special Requirements:
- Critical Care experience required
- Strong cardiac skills including Impella, balloon pump, vasopressors
- Neuro/stroke and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred
- 48-hour shifts: Not approved
- Transportation: Must have a vehicle for assignment
- Possible Float Locations: Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside

Certifications & Licenses Required
- Mandatory:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Preferred/As Applicable:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Chemotherapy certification
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)
- IV Certification (for LVN/LPN/Other)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- Licensing:
- Valid State RN License (NURSYS verification required)
- Drivers License/State ID
- Social Security Card (for WA State OBRA search if applicable)
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit Mask test (N95 or equivalent) - updated annually
- Immunizations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination (required if onsite)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual update required)
- 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Background & Compliance
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM checks within 30 days of start
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
- Education verification required (nursing degree for RNs)
- Skills checklist updated annually (as applicable)
- Facility-specific floating policy acknowledgment required
Training & Competency
- Completion of Providence Health and Services required WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
- Core modules for Oregon facilities
- Specialty-specific modules as applicable (e.g., Critical Care, Cath Lab)
- Epic training modules (completion required prior to working)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Color Blind Testing if required by unit
Additional Notes
- Travelers may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
- Must comply with all Providence Health and Services policies and documentation requirements
- This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week assignment length
