Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
- First-timers Accepted: Yes
- Certifications Required: BLS, ARRT (Technologist)
- Floating: Yes, may need to float between like units
- Block Schedule: Possible, at manager discretion
- Locals Accepted: Yes

- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

Required Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certified
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): May be required depending on unit
- Other Certifications: PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy, EFM, CPI, IV Certification, NIH Stroke Certification, and others as applicable per unit and specialty
- Competency Exams: Medication/Pharmacology competency and specialty-specific competency exams may be required
- Tech Cert Verification: National verification required for allied professionals
- State License Verification: Must be current and valid for California
- NURSYS Verification: Required for RNs
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit Mask Test: Required for travel staff; must be updated annually
- Vaccinations:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Flu Vaccine (seasonal, declination accepted with mask requirement)
- COVID-19 Vaccine or Declination (required if onsite)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 doses or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B - vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella - 2 doses or positive titer or declination
- TB Test: IGRA/TSPOT, QGold, or 2 PPDs within 12 months; annual updates required
- Drug Screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Background & Compliance
- Background Check: Within 45 days of start, covering last 7 years of residence and employment
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in relevant specialty within last 3 years
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment history
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates; nursing degree verification for RNs/LVNs
- State-Specific Searches: Required for Washington and Oregon placements as applicable
Orientation & Training Requirements
- Epic Training: Completion of Epic modules required prior to or shortly after start
- WorkRamp Modules:
- Core and specialty-specific modules required for all caregivers, assigned by region and specialty
- Annual regulatory and additional training modules required
- Float Policy: Acknowledgement required; may float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
