Description

Occupational Therapist Opportunity

Location: Redding, California
Facility: Mercy Medical Center

Position Details

Specialty: Occupational Therapy
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Weekend Requirement: Work every 3rd weekend
Holidays: Included in permanent staff rotation for all modalities
Floating: No floating required

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience
At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience
Active California OT license
BLS certification required
COVID-19 vaccination required (with certification)
Open to first-time travel therapists

Work Environment

Unit: Rehab (PT, OT, & Speech)
EMR system: Cerner
Charge Nurse: Manager available on days (Monday-Friday)
Nurse Aides: PT aides available, staffing varies by day
Hospitalist/Intensivist coverage: 24/7 in-house
Respiratory Therapy: 24/7 coverage
Pharmacy: 24/7 coverage
IV Team: Not available
Orientation: 8 hours floor-specific orientation for all modalities

Dress Code

Polo style or button-down long sleeve shirt (burgundy color) provided by vendor/hospital staff if desired
Dark solid pants
No scrubs allowed

This position is ideal for Occupational Therapists with acute care experience looking for a hospital-based role in a rehab unit setting.
