Description
Occupational Therapist Opportunity
Location: Redding, California
Facility: Mercy Medical Center
Position Details
- Specialty: Occupational Therapy
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Work every 3rd weekend
- Holidays: Included in permanent staff rotation for all modalities
- Floating: No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience
- At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience
- Active California OT license
- BLS certification required
- COVID-19 vaccination required (with certification)
- Open to first-time travel therapists
Work Environment
- Unit: Rehab (PT, OT, & Speech)
- EMR system: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Manager available on days (Monday-Friday)
- Nurse Aides: PT aides available, staffing varies by day
- Hospitalist/Intensivist coverage: 24/7 in-house
- Respiratory Therapy: 24/7 coverage
- Pharmacy: 24/7 coverage
- IV Team: Not available
- Orientation: 8 hours floor-specific orientation for all modalities
Dress Code
- Polo style or button-down long sleeve shirt (burgundy color) provided by vendor/hospital staff if desired
- Dark solid pants
- No scrubs allowed
This position is ideal for Occupational Therapists with acute care experience looking for a hospital-based role in a rehab unit setting.
