Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
• Call Requirements:

  • 1 night per week
  • Every 4th weekend on call rotation
• Weekend Requirement: Every 4th weekend on call rotation
• Float Requirement: May float to Interventional Radiology or Elkhart General Hospital as needed
• Holiday Requirement: Labor Day call weekend and other holidays as needed
• Late Team Rotation: Once per week to complete remaining cases for the day

Experience & Certification Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience required
  • Previous travel experience in Cath Lab required for 1 year experience candidates
  • First-time travelers must have 2 years Cath Lab experience
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred Certification:

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Locals: Not accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Work Environment & Team

• Typically 4 persons per room if available
• Must be able to operate independently with only 3 persons
• 3-person call team
• Scrub color provided: Blue

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or QGold accepted; T-Spot not accepted)
• TB questionnaire required prior to start and annually
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant accepted if needed)
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious declination required prior to start
• Background check within 90 days of start covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked
• Education verification or diploma/transcript required

Additional Notes

• COVID vaccine medical or religious exemptions must be submitted and approved if applicable
• Facility requires completion of multiple pre-start modules (approx. 8-10 hours) prior to start
• Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement required before starting
• Facility-specific documentation and photo for badge required
