Description
Travel RN Opportunity - Labor & Delivery
Location: Palmer, Alaska
Facility: Mat-Su Regional Medical Center (Community Health Systems)
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights (1900-0730), variable nights with alternating weekends
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care.
- Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership for safe delivery of care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
