- Call Requirement: Yes, expected 1-2 days per week plus rotating weekends

Additional certifications that may be required or verified depending on specialty and unit:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- Fire Card (required; can be completed post-start with approval)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- IV Certification (if applicable)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and Health Documents:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination (required during flu season; declination accepted)
- COVID-19 Vaccination or declination (required if onsite)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Respirator Fit Testing (Fit Mask) required for travel starts after 2/5/2024, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in relevant specialty within last 3 years
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years of employment
Training and Competency Requirements
- Completion of Providence Health and Services WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
- Core Modules for profession (RN, LVN, CNA, Allied, etc.)
- Specialty-specific modules depending on unit and role (ER, ICU, L&D, OR, etc.)
- Regional Core and Specialty modules for travel assignments
- Competency Exams as applicable by specialty/unit
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Color Blind Testing if required by unit
- Skills Checklists updated annually (PACU checklist acceptable for Outpatient Surgery specialty)
Additional Notes
- Float Policy Acknowledgement required; may be asked to float to other Providence facilities nearby
- Radiation Badge issued by facility if applicable
- Epic Access training modules required for SoCal Per Diem candidates and some other regions
- Certain state-specific background and registry checks required for Washington and Oregon placements (not applicable here but important for multi-state travelers)
This position is ideal for Radiology/Cardiology professionals with at least 2 years of experience who are comfortable with call responsibilities and working in an acute care hospital setting. First-time travelers are welcome. Compliance with Providence Health and Services credentialing, immunization, and training requirements is mandatory.
