Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Rehab RN Nights)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Details
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend coverage
- Patient Ratio: 1:8
- Experience: Minimum 1 year required

Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – as applicable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as applicable
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) – as applicable
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as applicable
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) – as applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification – as applicable (expires annually)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – as applicable
- HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
- State Nursing License verification (Primary source online verification required)
- NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
- Color Blind Testing (online)
- Competency Exam (minimum passing score 80% or higher if Angoff score is higher)
- Core Parts I, II, III (for subcontractors, annual completion required)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 12 months of start
- Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test (2-Step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year
- TB Questionnaire (if positive TB test) within 90 days of start, annual renewal
- Measles (Rubeola) immunity: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative/equivocal)
- Mumps immunity: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative/equivocal)
- Rubella immunity: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative/equivocal)
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted (boosters accepted if negative/equivocal)
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history of chickenpox
- Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved Medical/Religious Exemption (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 Vaccination or approved Medical/Religious Exemption (declinations not accepted)
Background & Compliance
- 7-year background check updated annually (includes SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, education verification)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
- HHS/OIG check upon hire
- Employment application and resume required
- 7-year work history verification
- Education verification (highest level must be verified)
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation for New Mexico placements (must be redone for every new contract)
Facility Specific Requirements
- Clear headshot photo for badge
- Fingerprint consent form (must be signed prior to start)
- Employee vehicle registration form (must be completed prior to start)
Notes
- Travelers can attend orientation and EPIC training pending fingerprint clearance but cannot work on the unit until clearance is received (1-3 business days ETA).
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccine exemptions require facility review and may include masking or other accommodations.
- Behavioral Health RNs require specific CEU certification prior to start if applicable.
This position is ideal for registered nurses with at least one year of experience who are interested in travel nursing in a rehabilitation hospital setting, working night shifts with a manageable patient ratio. The facility supports first-time travelers and requires comprehensive compliance with certifications, health screenings, and background checks.
