Job Opportunity: LDRP RN

Location: Nebraska City, Nebraska
Facility: Health St Marys (CAH Hospital in South East Nebraska)

Position Details

• Specialty: LDRP RN with Med/Surg experience required
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week (GWW)
• Blocked Scheduling: Approved
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Floating: Not required, but helpful if able to assist in Med/Surg
• Shift: 12-hour nights

Patient Care & Environment

• Number of Beds: 4
• Births per Year: 100-125
• Patient Types: Antepartum, Triage, Labor, Postpartum, Newborn
• Common Diagnoses: Related to maternity and newborn care
• Common Drips: Pitocin, Insulin, fluids, Antibiotics
• IV Pumps Used: Alaris
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Charge Nurse: Present on each shift, but does not take patient assignments

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year
• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Licensing: Valid driver's license within 50-mile radius required
• Orientation Exam:

  • RN’s must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% (open book, resources provided) or face termination

This role is ideal for RNs with labor and delivery experience who are comfortable working in a small hospital setting with a focus on maternity and newborn care.
