      • BLS (Basic Life Support)
      • NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)
      • California State License

    Required Certifications & Competencies

    • Basic Life Support (BLS): AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification required
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): May be required depending on clinical track
    • Other certifications may be required based on specialty and unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy, EFM)
    • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable by profession
    • Color Blind Testing may be required on a unit basis
    • State License verification and NURSYS verification for RNs required

    Health & Safety Requirements

    • Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Fit Mask test (N95 or equivalent) required for travel assignments, updated annually
    • Immunizations and documentation required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
      • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination (masking may be required if declined)
      • COVID-19 vaccination or declination (required if onsite)
    • Drug Screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)

    Background & Compliance

    • Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
    • Minimum of 2 professional references required, covering recent employment in comparable specialty
    • Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
    • Education Verification required for all candidates
    • State-specific searches and attestations as applicable (e.g., Washington and Oregon requirements)

    Training & Onboarding

    • Completion of Providence Health and Services mandatory WorkRamp training modules prior to start, including:
      • Core modules by profession and region
      • Specialty-specific modules for ER, L&D, and leadership roles
      • Annual regulatory requirements
    • Epic training modules required for clinical staff prior to or shortly after start
    • Badge photo required before start date

    Additional Notes

    • Local radius for assignment is 50 miles from Orange, CA
    • Floating policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to other Providence facilities nearby
    • Free parking available onsite
    • Radiation badges issued by facility if applicable
