Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Richmond, Virginia
Facility: CJW Medical Center (HCA Healthcare)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiac Cath / EP Lab
- Beds: 4 EP Labs / 3 Cardiac Cath Labs
- Patient Ratios: 1 procedural patient per room; team consists of 3-4 members
- Staffing: Mix of RNs and cardiovascular specialists (RCES / RCIS)
- Equipment: Philips (EP) and GE (Cath Lab) imaging systems
- Documentation Systems: MacLab, CardioLab, Meditech
- Scheduling: Pencil schedule coordinated by schedulers
- Floating Policy: No floating
Experience & Certification Requirements
- Minimum 2 years critical care experience for RNs
- Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab / EP Lab setting for RCES/RCIS
- Certifications preferred: RCES / RCIS
Skills & Procedures
- Requested Skills: Scrubbing, monitoring, circulating EP cases
- Advanced Skills: Experience in high acuity, high volume, fast-paced environment
- Procedures Performed:
- Right and left sided ablations
- Pacemaker (PM) implants
- ICD implants
- BIVICD and BIVPM implants
- Laser lead extractions
- CCM implants
- Left atrial appendage closure devices (Watchman, Amulet)
- Hybrid ablations
Dress Code
- Hospital-issued scrubs required
This position is ideal for healthcare professionals with strong cardiac cath lab or EP lab experience seeking a travel assignment in a fast-paced, high acuity environment.
