Position Overview

• Role: Sonographer (Cardiopulmonary Radiology)
• Department: Radiology
• Shift: Days (3 shifts x 8 hours)
• Weekly Hours: 24 guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: As needed
• Call Requirements: None
• Required Certifications:

  • ARDMS/RVT or ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RVS eligible
  • BLS
• Experience: Minimum 1+ year
• EMR System: EPIC
• Dress Code: Black scrubs

Job Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures independently with technical judgment and initiative.
• Manipulate ultrasound equipment, including mobile units.
• Evaluate ultrasound images for radiographic diagnoses.
• Lift, move, and transport patients as needed.
• Stand and walk continually during shifts.
• Recognize emergency situations and adapt to stressful environments.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Skills & Requirements

• Proficient in ultrasound equipment and computer use.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
