Description
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Travel Position
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Position Summary
- Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians.
- Provide patient care while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by Radiologist/Cardiologist.
Schedule & Requirements
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Start Date: 9/22/2025
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- On Call Requirement: 10 out of 12 days per month (includes weekends)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program
Certifications/Licenses (Required)
- ARRT certification applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI, or VI) or RCIS certification
- New Mexico State licensure
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Experience
- Minimum 1 year radiologic experience required
- Preferred: 1 year interventional or cath lab experience
- Must have IR lab experience
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment, neurological and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology, and basic computer skills
- Preferred knowledge of interventional procedures in Cardiology and Radiology
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, various body fluids, and ionizing radiation
- Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
- Subject to stressful professional relationships
- Flexible working hours due to unexpected schedule changes and emergencies
- Physical ability to lift, position, push, and/or transfer patients and equipment over 50 lbs
