Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) - Saint Joseph, Missouri

Facility: St. Joseph Chateau
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 hours, Night Shift (NBO)
Dress Code: Scrubs

Job Description

Develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations.
Create communication treatment plans to help individuals better understand and be understood by others.
Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies.
Provide appropriate care and services to residents in a skilled nursing home setting.

Requirements

Valid, unrestricted Missouri state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
Certification: CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
Minimum 1 year of SLP experience.
Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings required.
Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, and guidelines related to long-term care.
Valid driver’s license.

Provides short-term post-acute care following hospitalization, illness, or similar medical needs.
Offers long-term care for individuals needing assistance with activities of daily living.
