Description
Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) - Saint Joseph, Missouri
Facility: St. Joseph Chateau
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 hours, Night Shift (NBO)
Dress Code: Scrubs
Job Description
- Develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations.
- Create communication treatment plans to help individuals better understand and be understood by others.
- Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Provide appropriate care and services to residents in a skilled nursing home setting.
Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted Missouri state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification: CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience.
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings required.
- Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, and guidelines related to long-term care.
- Valid driver’s license.
