Travel RN Opportunity - Manchester, New Hampshire
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Travel
- Location: Manchester, NH
- Unit: C200 Progressive Care
- Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 10
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, 1 LNA, sitter PRN
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, 1 LNA, sitter PRN
- Patient Ratios: 3-4 patients per nurse
- Patient Population: Mostly Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular surgical patients, occasional medical progressive care patients
- Equipment Used: IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer/stand lifts, bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, chest tubes, vein finder, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, epicardial and transvenous pacers
- EMR System: Sunrise
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years as an RN
- Must Have:
- Cardio-thoracic post-op surgery experience
- Preferred:
- Experience with cardiac drips such as dobutamine, dopamine, and Levo
- External pacemaker experience
Typical Procedures Performed
- Pericardiocentesis with drains left in place post-procedure
- Thoracentesis
- Chest tube insertion
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- Registered Nurse License
Work Schedule and Environment
- Every third weekend required
- No on-call duties
- Floating areas include Progressive Care and telemetry units
- Dress code: Scrubs (color/attire not specified)
