Travel RN Opportunity – Surgery Unit, Chattanooga, TN
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
- Unit: Surgery (Main Campus)
- Employment Type: Travel
- Shift: 7 AM – 3 PM or 7 AM – 5 PM
- Call Requirement: Must take call
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 17 Operating Rooms
- Patient Ratios: Not applicable
- Staffing Support: Surgery Board Runner (unit secretaries and tech availability)
- Equipment: Electrosurgical devices, Neptune suction, patient positioning devices, Synaptive Medical Modus V robotic digital microscope (only system in Tennessee)
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Floating Policy: Not applicable
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience circulating in orthopedic and spine surgical procedures
- Neurosurgical and general/robotic surgery experience preferred but not required
- Critical thinking and strong customer service skills
Procedures Performed on Unit
- Total joint replacements
- Spine fusions
- Neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies
- Robotic procedures
- General surgical procedures
- Urology
- Cardiovascular procedures including open heart surgery
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – required
- Tennessee Registered Nurse License – required
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) National certificate required
