Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity
Location: Omak, Washington
Facility: Mid-Valley Hospital (Critical Access Hospital)
Hospital System: Mid-Valley Hospital - MSP - Qualivis Version 2
Facility Overview
- 25 beds
- Critical Access Hospital
- Level IV Trauma Center
- Daily census approximately 10 patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:4, may be 1:5 during high admit/discharge periods
Unit Information
- Approximately 300 deliveries per year
- Two nurses per shift
- OB nurses also care for postpartum patients when no labor patients are present
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (possible extension)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift Schedule: Weekdays with some weekends
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
- Certifications Required: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted
- Scrubs: Not provided, any color acceptable
- EMR System: Cerner

- HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
Licensure & Verification

- Drug Screening: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (collected upon client request)
- COVID-19 Vaccine or Medical/Religious Exemption (booster not required)

- 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM checks (updated every contract renewal)
- HHS/OIG checks (updated every contract renewal)
- Professional references (2 for travel nurses) within 2 years
- Hospital and internal evaluations if previously worked over 1 or 2 years respectively
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
- Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search results (required by state law)
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a small critical access hospital with a supportive team environment and access to outdoor recreational activities in a scenic area. Ideal for nurses with at least one year of experience who are open to travel assignments and working in a rural setting.
