Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Facility: Movement for Life (Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic)
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Summary
The Physical Therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength. This role involves evaluating and treating patients, supervising PT Assistants and Aides, and ensuring quality patient care in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold and maintain an active Physical Therapist license in Arizona.
- Evaluate and treat patients using rehabilitation programs.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for documentation including evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
- Guide and monitor patient care throughout treatment and follow-up.
- Supervise PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, co-workers, and office staff to ensure quality care and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations.
- Ensure patient comfort and answer questions as needed.
- Make independent decisions regarding patient care.
- Participate in business marketing and referral processes when necessary.
- Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures to protect patient privacy.
- Be familiar with billing policies and procedures, including Medicare, workers’ compensation, private insurance, and cash pay.
- Proficient in diagnosis (DX) and ICD-10 coding for billing services.
Physical Demands
- Ability to be physically mobile: sitting, walking, standing for 8-10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist patients with mobility restraints, transfers, and walking safety.
- Constant alertness to patient safety.
Work Environment
- Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting.
- No travel required.
Education and Licensing Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy required.
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Arizona or plans to obtain licensure soon.
- Continuing education courses preferred.
Compliance and Safety
- Must comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
- Expected to protect patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
- Participate in privacy training and report any concerns regarding patient privacy.
This position offers a structured 8-hour workday, 5 days a week schedule at an award-winning private practice recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
