Job Opportunity: Outpatient Orthopedic Therapist (Travel/Contract)

Position Details

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Physical Therapist)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule:

  • 4 ten-hour days per week
  • 2 days: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 2 days: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Patient Care:

  • 60-minute one-on-one sessions
  • No overlapping patients
  • Each therapist has their own treatment room
• Preferred Start Date: May 19th
• Licensing: Wisconsin Physical Therapist License preferred

Required Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable; AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI accepted
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable; AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable; AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI accepted
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – As required
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam – Required as applicable
• Competency Exam – Required as applicable to profession/specialty
• Color Blind Testing – Required only for dialysis/kidney center staff (not applicable here)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Completion of Froedtert South compliance checklist
• Signing of confidentiality statement prior to start
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)
• Flu vaccine exemption forms must be completed if applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year; chest X-ray within 60 days if applicable
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 week of start (instant acceptable)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually

Background & History Checks

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Verification of 2 professional references within 2 years of start
• Annual skills checklist per Aya standard
• Wisconsin Caregiver Screening as required
