Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Position Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: BLOCK Schedule Day Shift, 7:00am - 5:30pm, Monday through Thursday
• Call Rotation:

  • 1 night per week (on a scheduled day)
  • Every 5th weekend call
  • Holiday call rotation
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Accepts 1st Time Travelers: No
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years (1.5 years considered if completed a previous travel assignment)
• State License: Must have Wisconsin license in hand
• Certifications Required:

  • NMTCB/CNMT or ARRT(R)(N)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): ARC or AHA acceptable; AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI accepted (not required for CNAs)
• BLS (Basic Life Support): ARC or AHA acceptable; AHA Provider, Instructor, and RQI accepted (not required for Medical Lab Technicians)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): ARC or AHA acceptable
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): As required
• Tech Cert Verification - National: Required as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for ICU, IMC/IMCU, inpatient, Med Surg, Step Down RN positions; must be renewed annually
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable
• Color Blind Testing: Required for candidates working in dialysis/kidney center (online test acceptable)
• Competency Exam: Required as applicable to profession/specialty

Facility Specific Requirements

• Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo, facing camera, no filters
• Compliance Checklist: To be completed by agency representative once candidate is compliant
• Confidentiality Statement: Must be signed prior to start
• Flu Vaccine Exemption Forms: Required if requesting religious or medical exemption
• Dosimeter Request Form: Required for Imaging Department only

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: QGold test required within 1 year; chest X-Ray must be within 60 days of start
• Immunizations:

  • Rubeola (Measles): Positive titer or 2 vaccines
  • Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines
  • Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines
• Drug Testing: Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 week of start (instant acceptable)
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation (2024-25): Required during flu season (Oct-Mar) or approved medical/religious exemption

Background & History Checks

• Background Check: 7-year check required within 1 year of start; must include SS trace, county searches, nationwide, and sex offender registry
• References: 2 professional references verified within 2 years; inpatient RNs require 1 reference from most recent acute care assignment
• Skills Checklist: Required annually
• State Specific Search: Wisconsin Caregiver Screening required (effective 6/3/2025)
