Travel RN Opportunity – Outpatient Burn and Reconstructive Clinic
Location: Denver, Colorado
Unit Information
- Unit: Outpatient Burn and Reconstructive Clinic (not a Burn ICU)
- Setting: Level 1 Burn and Reconstructive Center, verified by American Burn Association
- Patient Population: Patients with burn, hand, and reconstructive injuries; urgent care type triaging
- Beds: 5 rooms
- Staffing: 2-4 RNs per shift
- Shifts:
- Day Shift: 4 RNs, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Night Shift: Not applicable
- Patient Ratios: Variable depending on the day
- Equipment: Occasional use of Hoyer lift and C-arm; primarily Meditech EMR and paper documentation
- Pace: Fast-paced, similar to an Emergency Department
Typical Procedures
- Suture removal
- Stable removal
- Wound care and dressing changes
- VAC (Vacuum-Assisted Closure) placement and takedown
Required Skills and Certifications
- Must Have:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Preferred:
- Wound care experience
- Orthopedic knowledge
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS
- NIH Certification
- Licensure:
- Registered Nurse License

- Experience with wound care and reconstructive procedures preferred
