Description
Travel RRT Opportunity – Fort Worth, TX
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Employment Type: Travel
- Location: Fort Worth, Texas
- Unit: Respiratory Therapy
- Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
- ICU experience required
- NICU experience preferred
- Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- Ability to draw ABGs (arterial blood gases)
- Current BLS certification
- Certifications required: RRT, ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
- Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Servo I ventilator
- Experience with I-Stat
Procedures Performed on Unit
- ABGs
- Assist with intubation
- Nebulizer treatments
- Metaneb therapy
- IPPB (Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing)
- CPT (Chest Physiotherapy)
Patient Population
- Experience with all age ranges
- Strong customer service skills
Documentation System
- Meditech
Dress Code
- Black scrubs required (purchase required)
- Nails must be clean and healthy; no artificial or gel nails
- Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
- Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)
