Unit Information
- Facility Type: Acute care hospital with 899 beds
- Staffing:
- Acute care average staffing gap: 7 (need to be at 14)
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) gap: 3
- Typical day shift staff example: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1 therapist per 12-14 patients
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
- Floating Areas: Rehab and acute care units
Required Skills and Experience
- Must Have:
- Acute care experience
- Inpatient rehab acute care or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
- Preferred:
- ICU experience
- Wound care
Typical Procedures
- Patient evaluation and treatments
Certifications and Licenses
- Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license
Work Schedule and Policies
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend Rotation: At least 2 weekend days per 4-week block, including holiday shifts
- Dress Code:
- Hunter green scrubs
- Nail policy: no fake nails, no dips or gels, nails must be cut short
