Travel RN Opportunity – Emergency Department, Anchorage, Alaska
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska
- Employment Type: Travel
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
- Guarantee Hours: 36 hours/week
- License Requirement: Must have an active Alaska RN license at time of submission
Unit Information
- Department: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 20 headwall beds, 4 hall beds
- Staffing: Approximately 50 staff members
- Shift Staffing:
- Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 RNs, 1 Tech, 1 Unit Secretary
- Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1; 6:1 for low acuity (ESI levels 4 & 5)
- Equipment Used: Lucas device, Level 1 trauma system, Alaris IV pumps, i-STAT, EPOC, GE monitors
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
Required Skills and Experience
- Must Have:
- Prior Emergency Department experience
- Preferred:
- Stroke and STEMI experience
- Trauma experience
- Pediatrics experience

- Breathing treatments
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
Work Environment and Culture
