MRI Technologist Opportunity
Location: Lincoln, Nebraska
Facility: Health St Elizabeth
Position Details
- Specialty: MRI Technologist
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Department: MRI Tech
- Equipment: GE 3T and GE 1.5T MRI scanners
- Number of Imaging Rooms:
- MRI: 2 rooms
- CT: 4 rooms
- X-ray: 3 rooms plus endoscopy, OR, and portable units
- Nuclear Medicine: 2 rooms plus PET
- Ultrasound: 3 rooms
- Interventional Radiology: 2 rooms
- Mammography: 3 rooms
Certifications & Requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR) certification required
- Must be MR certified/credentialed for contract work
- Driver’s license required to verify candidate is within 50-mile radius
- Candidates may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit facility (including CHI and Dignity Health)
- Preferred: Experience or skills in X-ray and/or CT imaging
Job Duties & Expectations
- Perform varied imaging studies primarily in MRI, with potential to float/cover CT, X-ray, OR, Endoscopy, and Emergency Department
- Flexibility, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and work are key attributes for success
- Use of EMR system EPIC and PACS system McKesson
Scheduling & Work Hours
- Shifts: Varied, scheduled by supervisor
- Typical hours: Days, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, plus call responsibilities
- Weekend and holiday work required
- Call or standby required with varied response times
- Orientation: 1-2 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
- Return to Office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO approvals

- Radiation badge provided by client
- Radius rule strictly enforced: candidates must live within 50 miles and not be employed by CommonSpirit facilities
- Flexibility to cover multiple imaging modalities is beneficial
