MRI Technologist Opportunity

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska
Facility: Health St Elizabeth

Position Details

• Specialty: MRI Technologist
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Department: MRI Tech
• Equipment: GE 3T and GE 1.5T MRI scanners
• Number of Imaging Rooms:

  • MRI: 2 rooms
  • CT: 4 rooms
  • X-ray: 3 rooms plus endoscopy, OR, and portable units
  • Nuclear Medicine: 2 rooms plus PET
  • Ultrasound: 3 rooms
  • Interventional Radiology: 2 rooms
  • Mammography: 3 rooms

Certifications & Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR) certification required
• Must be MR certified/credentialed for contract work
• Driver’s license required to verify candidate is within 50-mile radius
• Candidates may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit facility (including CHI and Dignity Health)
• Preferred: Experience or skills in X-ray and/or CT imaging

Job Duties & Expectations

• Perform varied imaging studies primarily in MRI, with potential to float/cover CT, X-ray, OR, Endoscopy, and Emergency Department
• Flexibility, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and work are key attributes for success
• Use of EMR system EPIC and PACS system McKesson

Scheduling & Work Hours

• Shifts: Varied, scheduled by supervisor
• Typical hours: Days, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, plus call responsibilities
• Weekend and holiday work required
• Call or standby required with varied response times
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
• Return to Office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO approvals

• Radius rule strictly enforced: candidates must live within 50 miles and not be employed by CommonSpirit facilities
• Flexibility to cover multiple imaging modalities is beneficial
