Travel RN Opportunity – Emergency Department (ED)
Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Facility & Unit Overview
- Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
- Beds: 19 ED beds plus a 4-bed psychiatric pod
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
- Staffing:
- Day and night shift secretaries
- Monday-Friday day and night techs scheduled
- Equipment: Hillrom, Stryker, GE, Lifepak defibrillators
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week
- Floating Policy: May float to psych pod or other ED locations within the system (Parkridge East, Main, North)
- Certifications: Chest Pain and Stroke certified
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- NIH Certification
- Strong sepsis and stroke skillsets required
Procedures & Skills
- Advanced skills relevant to emergency care expected
- Experience with tele-psychiatry beneficial
Work Environment & Additional Information
- Experienced staff with many nurses having 5-20+ years tenure
- Excellent provider and nurse relations
- Exposure to new equipment and technology
- Opportunity to work in a well-established, certified unit with strong clinical focus
Contract Length
- 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
