Interventional Radiology RN Opportunity

Location: Peoria, Illinois

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Certifications Required

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Experience & Skills

• EKG interpretation required
• Drip titration experience

Department Details

• 6 labs/suites including pre-op and phase 2 recovery
• Average 20-30 cases per day
• Common patient types: GI bleed, strokes, biopsy, central lines, drains, vascular cases
• EMR: EPIC
• Equipment: Phillips monitors

Staffing & Supervision

• Charge RN on shift from 07:30 to 17:00 (does not take patients, assists with cases and lunch coverage)
• 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) IR Tech

Scheduling & Shifts

• 4 days per week
• 9-hour shifts between 06:30 and 18:00
• Not self-scheduling

Call Requirements

• Primary and secondary call 6-8 shifts every 6 weeks, including weekends
• Holiday call required; department closed on holidays
• Call response time: 30 minutes

Orientation & Training

• Unit/department-specific orientation: 5 days
• Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)

• Patient ratios: 1:1 intraprocedural, max 1:4 in phase 2 recovery
• No floating required
• Surgical scrubs provided
• Drug-free campus with mandatory negative drug screen
• Local placements accepted within 50-mile radius

This position is ideal for RNs with interventional radiology experience who are comfortable with high-acuity cases and call responsibilities in a structured, team-oriented environment.
