Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Highlands, North Carolina
Facility Type: Rehab-focused hospital with acute/swing beds, nursing home, and outpatient clinics

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Unit: Rehab Services (PT/OT/SLP)
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Schedule: 40 hours per week (schedule details to be discussed during interview)
• Floating: Clinician may float between acute/swing, nursing home, and outpatient services as needed

Unit & Work Environment

• Beds:

  • 24 acute/swing beds
  • 40 nursing home beds (5-star rated facility)
  • 10 skilled beds within nursing home
• Treatment Locations: Patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, rehab gym
• Equipment: Typical rehab equipment; access to current rehab gym and nursing home gym; new rehab gym and outdoor gym planned
• Documentation Systems: Cerner and NetHealth
• Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • NC Physical Therapy License
  • CPR/BLS Certification
• Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in a medical setting preferred
  • Experience in hospital and/or nursing home settings required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations
• Establish plan of care
• Assist with rounds and care conferences as needed
• Communicate frequently with rehab team regarding patient progress, equipment needs, and discharge planning
