Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (L&D)

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Facility: Archbold Memorial, Archbold Medical Center
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)


Job Description

  • Labor & Delivery RN position supporting approximately 650-700 deliveries per year
  • Units include 2 triage beds, 5 labor beds, C-section OR, and recovery room
  • Start date: 3 weeks from offer
  • Assignment length: 13 weeks with possible extension
  • Schedule includes some weekends and holidays
  • Minimal to no Return to Origin (RTO) allowed (must be included on submission)

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN Intermediate

Required Skills

  • Fetal Monitoring (FM) - Intermediate level
  • Circulate in OR
  • IV Start
  • Medical Screening Exam

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year recent L&D experience required (2+ years preferred)
  • Previous travel experience required

Additional Information

  • Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner

Facility & Compliance Requirements

Documentation & Verification

  • Proof of I9 or attestation
  • Color copy of driver's license (no black & white)
  • Proof of E-Verify or attestation
  • Residency Declaration Form if working on a compact license
  • Primary source verification of state license
  • NURSYS verification for RNs
  • Background check: 7-year criminal history, SSN trace, counties, sex offender, FACIS Level 3, nationwide, education verification
  • Employment application/resume
  • References: Two recent supervisor/manager level references verified within 12 months
  • Performance evaluations and internal evaluations if applicable
  • Education verification (transcript or diploma accepted if EDV not verifiable)
  • Georgia-specific fingerprinting (GCHEXS) required for CNAs; 30-day grace period to obtain results

Health & Safety

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Fit mask test completed onsite at no cost
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap required for L&D and Mother & Baby units
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start; no PPDs accepted) or chest X-ray if past positive
  • TB questionnaire within 30 days of start
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (9/3 - 3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided
  • COVID-19 vaccination not required but proof of vaccine series, exemption, or declination must be collected

Facility Specific

  • Completion of assigned HealthStream modules prior to start date
  • Submission of a passport-style photo for badge within 24 hours of signing
  • Review of facility dress code
  • Flu exemption and vaccine confirmation forms if applicable
  • Completion of IS115 and IS119 forms (time sensitive, must be signed with full legal name)
