Job Opportunity: Special Procedures Tech (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Department: Interventional Radiology (IR)
Hospital Beds: 272
IR Suites: 2
Staffing:
- IR Techs: 4 (day shift)
- RNs: 6 total (4-5 day shift, night shift on call)
Patient Ratios: Estimated 1:1 to 3:1 (not guaranteed)
Equipment: GE
EMR System: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Certifications:
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Special Procedures Tech / Interventional Radiology)
Must Have:
- VI certification or CVIR

Preferred Qualifications

Neuro experience
Experience in a Thrombectomy center

Typical Procedures

Basic IR procedures such as drains
Complex cases including sirspheres, tumor ablation, spine jack

Work Environment & Culture

Team-oriented, fun, and supportive atmosphere
Strong communication skills required
Ability to manage stressful situations effectively
Day shift hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Night shift is on call
