Surgical Tech - Travel Position

Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Clinical Allied Travel

Position Overview

• Assist the surgeon and surgical team peri-operatively to ensure an optimal peri-operative experience.
• Requires knowledge of anatomy, surgical instrumentation, patient safety, and sterile technique.

Contract Length

• Approximately 12 weeks (84 days ≈ 12 weeks).

Required Experience and Competencies

• Experience in multiple specialties including Otorhinolaryngology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Neurology, Orthopedics, and Cardiovascular surgery.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical procedure orientation, and operation/care of surgical equipment.
• Understanding of patient and staff safety protocols.

• Commitment to quality patient care.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills across various personnel levels.
• Physical demands include standing and walking for most of the shift, moderate to heavy lifting.
• Exposure to potential hazards such as cuts, burns, infections, biohazardous chemicals, and x-rays.

Licensure/Certification

• Must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Additional specialty certifications or training may be required depending on the work area.
