Travel RN Opportunity - Nashville, Tennessee

Position Details

Unit Information

Unit Name: 12 Tower
Number of Beds: 36
Patient Ratios: 1:4 / 1:5
Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block
Floating Policy: Will float over core staff
Documentation System: Meditech

Patient Population & Care

Able to perform basic patient assessments and general care including management of:
- Wounds
- Tracheostomy
- Ostomy
- Drains
- Chest Tubes
- Strokes
- Seizures
Patient population may require dialysis or PCA pumps; only drip medication is Heparin.
Post-operative procedures on unit include amputations, ostomy care, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs.

Certifications Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Unit Policies & Guidelines

HAI prevention including CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions
Fall prevention protocols
100% medication scanning, including controlled substances
Attendance per policy
Bedside shift report and safety checks every 1-2 hours focusing on communication and responsiveness

Work Environment

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty
