Description

Travel RN – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab RN
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekends on call during a 6-week schedule
Call Requirements:
- Weekdays: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM next day
- Weekends: 7:00 AM Saturday – 7:00 AM Monday
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Kentucky RN License
Experience: Minimum 2+ years as a Cath Lab RN
Float Requirements: EP Lab coverage
Number of Openings: 1

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab, 3rd Floor
Number of Beds: 6 procedure rooms
Patient Ratio: 1:1 (one case at a time)
Equipment: GE X-ray systems
EMR Systems: McKesson Cardiology and Cerner
Scheduling: No block scheduling
Unit Closed: Christmas and New Year’s Day

Skills & Experience

Must Have:
- 2+ years Cath Lab RN experience
- Experience with McKesson and Cerner EMRs preferred (online training available if lacking)
- Ability to rotate coverage across UofL Cath Lab
Preferred:
- Structural heart experience
- Scrubbing or monitoring experience
Personality Fit:
- Detail-oriented
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Clear and concise communication
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
