Travel RN – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab RN
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Call Requirements:
- Weekday call: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM next day
- Weekend call: 7:00 AM Saturday – 7:00 AM Monday
Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekends on call during a 6-week schedule
Number of Openings: 1
Float Requirements: EP Lab coverage required

Required Qualifications

Licensure: Kentucky RN license
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Experience: Minimum 2+ years as a Cath Lab RN (highest required years of experience)
Preferred Experience: Structural heart procedures, scrubbing or monitoring experience
EMR Experience: McKesson Cardiology and Cerner preferred but not mandatory (online training available)
Skills: Detail-oriented, strong troubleshooting, clear and concise communication, ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab, 3rd Floor
Beds: 6 procedure rooms
Patient Ratios: 1:1 during procedures (one case at a time)
Equipment: GE X-ray systems
Scheduling: No block scheduling
Unit Closures: Closed on Christmas and New Year's Day

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
Rotation coverage includes the University of Louisville Cath Lab.
Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs.
