Radiation Oncology Position - Bangor, Maine
Facility Overview
- Level II Trauma Center serving 2/3 of the state; closest trauma center within a 2-hour radius
- Certified Stroke Center
- 411 beds
- Location: Bangor, ME
Job Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start: ASAP
- Scheduling:
- No weekends
- No call
- Holiday coverage done in rotation with other techs
- 4-week schedules created to the best of ability
- Specific shifts vary based on need
- Orientation: 1 to 1.5 weeks, depending on experience and comfort level
- Floating: As needed, covering linacs
Patient Population
- Care Areas: Outpatient and Inpatient
- Primarily Adult and Geriatrics, very few Pediatrics
- Average patients seen per day: 90 over three linacs
Required Licensure and Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (T) certification required
- Maine State license for Radiation Therapy
Experience and Skills
- Accepts travelers with 1 year of experience depending on type of experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- Preferred experience with Mosaiq EMR and Varian TrueBeam Linacs
Technology and Equipment
- EMR system: Mosaiq
- Equipment: Varian Linacs, Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator
