Unit Information

• Facility Size: 437 beds
• Staffing:

  • Total staff: ~60
  • Day Shift: Director, Manager, Supervisor, 8-10 RRTs
  • Night Shift: Supervisor, 8-10 RRTs
  • Per diem help: 3-4 RRTs
• Patient Load: Approximately 44-46 procedures per shift
• Equipment Used:

  • Servo I ventilators
  • Nebulizer
  • Hamilton ventilators
  • V60 ventilators
  • Astral CPAP & BiPAP machines
  • ABGs (Arterial Blood Gases)
  • CPT (Chest Physiotherapy)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma experience
• Experience with Meditech EMR (preferred by Director)

Typical Responsibilities

• Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies such as asthma, pneumonia, emphysema
