Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Belleville, Illinois

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights
- Start Date: Biweekly starts, 3-4 weeks per compliance tier
- Patient Ratios: 1:3
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: May float within scope between Belleville and East locations, as well as inpatient floors if needed
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (local radius rule: 75 miles)
- Pending License: Not accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: 7 days within 13-week contract
- Guaranteed Hours:
- 36 hours/week for 3-12 hour shifts
- 48 hours/week for 4-12 hour shifts
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA only; quarterly renewal required if using PALS RQI
- NIH Stroke Certification (annual update required)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) if applicable
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – preferred
- RQI cards are not acceptable
- Additional preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC
Special Skills / Clinical Requirements
- Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes
- Post cardiac arrest hypothermia care
- Intubations
- Participation in code strokes, code STEMI, code blue teams
- Trauma patient care
- Pediatric patient care and transfers
- Sexual assault cases

- Background Check (within 6 months, 7-year search including statewide, nationwide, sex offender, and international if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (quarterly)

- Hepatitis B declination form required (vaccination not mandatory)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
- Fit Mask Testing (annual, must pass fit test for N95 respirators)
- Facility-specific documents including:
- HIPAA Acknowledgement (annual)
- Latex Allergy Questionnaire (annual)
- Confidentiality Form (annual)
- Regulatory Compliance Education (annual, must score 80% or higher)

Additional Notes
- Candidates must adhere to all facility policies and complete required training prior to start.
- Floating may be required within the facility system to meet patient care needs.
- Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend and meet the required shift hours.
- This is a travel/contract position; local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted.
